I am putting together Resistence packages. Gift boxes that have Resilience items, Self-care, etc. Take what you need/want, add more, and rebound with notes and inspiration and send it to someone else. Keep it going.

It differs based on what I have….garbage bag-(garbage, rain coat, liquid collection,____), razor-shaving, changing identity, cleaning fish, ____), alcohol wipes (cleaning, fire starter, ____), sandwich bag ( waterproofer, liquid carrier or dispenser, ______) soap (laundry, hair, body, dishes), clothing scrap gift wrap (cleaning wipe, filter, patch, _____), jute tie (shoelace, tie, ____,) there are things that can't be mailed but to think creatively about the items around you. Tampons fill all kinds of holes that are bleeding and need to be plugged. Maxi pads are wound pads and hygiene. Add to them and let. Maybe animals ones and baby ones. Elderly ones with items easier to use for wounded hands and eyes that need large print. With notes of encouragement for resilience!!

Love this! One question: Do you mean The StoryGraph (instead of StoryChart)?

🤦‍♀️ I did mean The StoryGraph! I can’t believe I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out, I’ll try to get it edited for future copies!

Cool. I have adored Goodreads, but am concerned that it is owned by Amazon, so I will now check out The StoryGraph. TY for alerting me of it!

You’ll love StoryGraph! Turns out it’s actually much cooler than Goodreads (imo).

For some aspects perhaps. Ever heard of Graphic illustration? And maybe some areas form people to add based on their situations or ideas. Not only can these and are these informative but they are connective, educational, a survival tool, self-care, modeling how we care for one another….

Binding tip for those printing at home - You didn't say how many physical sheets of paper when finished (or maybe I missed that) so I don't know if this is workable, but If it's not too many, and depending on the paper used to print, it could possibly be bound using a sewing machine. Just stitch down the fold using a longer stitch length and sturdy thread.

Also, most standard size staplers can be "opened" at the hinge. Place the booklet on a plastic or metal surface (something the staple can't penetrate - wood won't work). Operate the open stapler as you normally would, with a firm push. The staple points will hit the hard surface and bend closed just as they would normally. If they are not "closed" completely, pinch tight with a plyers, or tap with a hammer.

#61 - collect banned books

I've been doing this for over a year by visiting the used book sections at libraries and going to the lawyer book sale events that they have. I've found a bunch of libraries that I really like and it's fun to see what I can find. I highly recommend it!

Thank you for sharing the hope! It makes my day knowing this thing is going so many places.

Also, I just refunded part of your shipping because my system overcharged you. Didn’t want you to wonder what it was when it shows up. 🙂

Wonderful! My middle-schooler and I are plotting a "subversive ninja-style zine drop" campaign. We'll print and bind a bunch of these, then drop them on the doorsteps of homes with yard signs along the lines of "Black lives matter" or "In this house we believe in science..." or similarly progressive messages. Even if we don't know them, we figure those are people who'd dig it. Can't wait to lift some spirits and share these ideas! *Mmmuwah-ha-haaaaaa...* ;o)

This makes me so happy!! We 1000% need more subversive ninja-style spirit lifting. Thanks for sharing and getting the message out there!

You inspired me and gave me some more hope, which I desperately need right now. We participated in the Hands Off protest in Harrisburg, PA on April 5th. Going again this Saturday. Showing our unwillingness to accept this Dystopia is one way to push back. Thank you!

Love this so much! Not just the topic, but also as a primer on zines! I have been toying with creating a zine about joy, but wasn't sure where to start. I love seeing your ingenuity (and how-to) as it generates inspo too. TY!
